Youthful Assailant Receives Life Punishment with Base Sixteen-Year Period
A fifteen-year-old youth has been judged to life behind bars with a minimum term of 16-year period for the homicide of fellow student the deceased during a lunch break.

Mohammed Umar Khan pierced the victim, also aged fifteen, in the cardiac area with a large blade at the All Saints Catholic High School in the winter month.
The presiding justice removed the anonymity limitation on the killer during sentencing at the judicial building.
Family Statement
The victim's mother expressed she felt "like a big weight has been taken off my back" following the sentencing.
The pair of adolescents had previously disputed over social media in the time before the fatal event.
The mother stated she was glad the lowest period had been established exceeding the legal minimum of fifteen years.
"My dad has been receiving medical treatment through the court proceedings and he just couldn't continue any longer," she stated.
Circumstances of the Assault
Prior to the killing on the third of February, Khan and the victim had adopted conflicting sides in a different conflict between other pupils.
CCTV from the day of the incident showed the killer approaching the victim in the school yard briefly after lunchtime.
Observers detailed a situation of "confusion", with people "scattering, shouting throughout" during the brutal encounter.
Legal Process
Throughout the legal proceedings, the defendant testified he had not meant to kill Harvey or cause him significant damage, claiming he could not recall what had transpired.
The prosecution maintained that he had "intended to show he was formidable" and "understood exactly what he was doing".
"You served as the aggressor and... you acted in distress and fury at what you regarded to be his betrayal of your bond," declared the judge during the punishment phase.
Consequences
The school released a statement conveying that the pupil was "dearly remembered every daytime by the entire educational community".
Law enforcement stressed the devastating consequences of bearing blades, commenting that a "momentary action" can forever alter numerous existences.
